What is it that you possess
In might or otherwise
That attracts me to you Your sight, embrace.
Is it that I gain your strength
Or that you wash away my pain
Is it that your surface meets my skin
And your curls comfort me from within
Or is it that your concentration of salts
Is higher than in my tears
What is it that pulls me to you
The wet sand below my feet
The sound of your rage turned to your love
As you return trickling through the pebbles
Is it that your anger meets mine
And you obviously win
Leaving me a defeated, yet a winner
Or is it a secret you don’t want to share
Whatever it is oh beautiful creation
Your waves, your rage, your love or strength
Your irresistible attraction
Makes me claim you, all of you, as mine.
Because why not would the sun and the moon
Find peace in your abode, I shall too
Come to you, to someday find out
Maybe, just maybe, you need me too.
